No most PLC of Mitsubishi can be interfaced(or communicated) directly to a PC which used programming.

Signal level of the CPU, a serial RS232 are not compatible and must be converted to a SC-02N, or SC-05-converter. The serial pinout of the converter to a PC is used in this diagram below.

So,If you have more than one serial port is required, a series about a MELSEC PLC, the AJ71C24 , AJ71C21 modules for serial interfacing can be connected to the system.

These modules provide serial RS232-compatible port which no conversion is necessary signals, the modules with a computer. Both modules are interfaced with a DB25 connector. You can review and take it the cable layout for both modules is given below.

For PLC series A1SJ71C24-R2 ,you can also be used to connect between PC and controller in a Mitsu PLC series for MELSEC . Here plug-in module contains 2 serial ports, which each with DB9(PC’s Comm port Connector) . Pinout and wiring diagram of cable is basically identical with the RS-232 null-modem cable loop handshaking ,Could you see picture below.
